Udupi, July 6, 2015  :  Local unit of International Human Rights Action Committee is to pursue legal action against mineral water manufacturing unit in the district, following unidentified particles and dead spider remains found in the mineral water bottle.

Balakrishna K, of the Udupi unit of International Human Rights Action Committee  said the mineral water manufacturing unit ’Acqua Ice Berg’ in Santhekatte, has ignored all norms of ISI credibility, the bottle carrying ISI mark does not have any dates, batch number or identity number. He said he has approached Health Minister U T Khader and orally registered the compliant against the company.

He alleged he has also complained to food safety officer over the  particles and spider remains found in the water bottle. He demanded that one week time would be given to the company to withdraw its product in the market and stop manufacturing.  He said  in the dist there are seven ISI accredited manufacturers .
