Vidyadayini centenary inauguration today, Nov 29

Mangaluru, Nov 29, 2015 : Addressing media,  Balakrishna K, Joint Secretary, Hindu Vidyadayini Sangha, said that the Sangha is running Idya Vidyadayini Primary School, Vidyadayini High School, Vidyadayini English Medium School (CBSE), Kulai Sri Venkataramana Primary School, Govindadasa PU College, Govindadasa Degree College and a Post Graduation Centre. It has also established Vidyadayini Institute of Agricultural and Rural Development Organisation.

 The centenary celebrations of Hindu Vidyadayini Sangha and Idya Vidyadayini Primary School, will be inaugurated on November 29. The celebrations will be progress till November 2016.

The organisation has planned several programmes for its centenary year and the major among them is the establishment of a solar power unit in Vidyadayini Higher Primary School. The solar panels of 25 KW, mounted on the roof of the school, will be inaugurated on November 26. The unit will produce 100 units of electricity everyday and the electricity left out after the school’s consumption will be transferred to the grid, he said. Karnataka Bank MD and CEO P Jayaram Bhat will inaugurate the solar unit, he added.

Inaugural programme and Alumni meet will be held on the same day at 10 am at the school. Dr K Naraharidas, Vice President of Hindu Vidyadayini Sangha will inaugurate, MLA B A Mohiyuddin Bava will be the chief guest, Hindu Vidyadayini Sangha President P Ranjan Rao will preside over the programme.

Karnataka Bank former Chairman M S Krishna Bhat will be felicitated on the occasion. Founder’s Day will be held on November 30.

Felicitations will be offered to H U Ananthaiah, former convener the school and Dr B R Samaga, former managing director of Govindadas College and Mangalore University Commerce Professor Prof P S Yedapadithaya will deliver a keynote address.
