Mangalore, Nov 3, 2013: “The work of a police officer should be seen through actions, and so will the work of an SP.” These words from , the new SP of Dakshina Kannada soon after taking charge, have certainly raised public expectations from the top police officer.

An IPS officer of 2009 batch, Sinha hails from Delhi. An  engineer by qualification, Sinha began his career in the IT industry for four and a half years before joining  the police service. His service in the police department began as a probationary officer in Shimoga.

 

He has until now served as  Joint Lokayukta SP of Belgaum, Bagalkot and Bijapur and as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order ) in Mysore and Senior ASP in Channapatna Sub-Division of Ramanagaram district.

“Maintenance of law and order and crime prevention will be on top of my agenda,”  says Sinha. He is even aware of the staff inadequacy in the police department as well as shortage of police stations and assures to ensure that more police stations and police personnel would be sanctioned to the district.
