Mangaluru: Kripa Amar Alva is quite a popular name in social and political circles in the city and is often described as a woman of great strength. Now, she is the new Chairperson of the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

Kripa who is an entrepreneur turned politician is happy with her appointment and exudes confidence of discharging her duties with determination and efficiency. She admits that the difficulties which she faced as a single woman who had to bring up a daughter after the demise of her husband Amar Alva in a tragedy way back in 1992, has  evolved her into a strong woman. She is also a successful business woman and is Managing Partner of Amarnath Builders, Amarnath Exports and Mangalore Utsav Event Management Company.

Kripa is  an active social worker and a Lions member too and has earned a Doctorate by the Cosmopolitan University of USA in recognition of her social service.

She also has served as the first lady District Governor of Lions District 324 D5 and as first lady Multiple Chairperson of Multiple District 324. Now, Prabha is optimistic of doing justice to her new role as Chairperson of the Commission of Protection for Child Rights.
