Sister Act: Italy’s singing nun, wins the TV talent show ’The Voice of Italy’

Milan, June 9, 2014: Sister Cristina Scuccia, a 25-year-old nun who became an internet sensation after appearing on Italy’s version of ’The Voice’ earlier this year, won the television contest on Friday.

She is probably the coolest nun you’ll ever come across. This young nun, dressed in her traditional habit, crucifix and black shoes, stunned the crowd and fellow Sisters in the audience with her dancing and soulful singing.

Sister Cristina Scuccia first made headlines in March with her terrific performance of Alicia Keys’ ’No One’ on the show. The YouTube video of her performance went viral with over 50 million views, and a tweet from Keys herself.
