These models show they really are the height of fashion - by taking part in a vertical catwalk.

Strapped into harnesses and wearing outfits from a top designer, they rappelled face-first down the side of a 24-storey hotel in Boston.

Some even pulled off spectacular swan dives to a thrilled audience below.

The vertigo-inducing show took place yesterday to celebrate the opening of the Revere Hotel in the city.

The models, provided by the Boston Rock Gym, wore spring/ summer outfits designed by Ted Baker London and created by the students from the Massachusetts College of Arts and Design.

On the ground, spectators watched the action through free binoculars provided by Revere staff.

’We wanted to do something that was quite splashy... and over the top,’ Simon Mais, general manager of Revere Boston, told the Boston Metro.
