Abu Dhabi : Foundation laid for St Paul’s Church

Abu Dhabi, July 2, 2013 : The foundation for the St Paul’s Church to be constructed at Mussafa here for the benefit of Catholics residing in Abu Dhabi, was laid recently on the day of the Feast of St Peter and St Paul. His Holiness Bishop Paul Hinder, Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia and Fr Savarimuttu, Parish Priest of St Joseph’s Church, Abu Dhabi blessed the foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Bishop Paul Hinder stated that God was present in every human being and hoped that the love for Jesus and the spiritual awakening of the masses would help in making the new Church a reality.

The Bishop also interacted with the devotees present at the function. Parish priests, sisters, church board members and a large number of laity attended the ceremony.
