Dubai, Jan 3, 2013 : Alva’s Virasat and Nudisiri at Moodbidri which have won the hearts of art and literature lovers since the past few years, will now be held at an international level.
The first international level Alva’s Virasat and Nudisiri will be held at Dubai on January 31 and at Abu Dhabi on February 1.
This was informed by Dr M Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation at a meeting convened by Namma Tuluveru at Fortune Plaza here on January 1. Representatives of various associations of Karnataka people in the Gulf were present.
Alva said around 80 artistes from India will be presenting performances at the event. He said there were also plans to hold similar programmes at Bahrain, Muscat, Qatar and Malaysia in the days to come.
Dr Alva said Virasat has already completed 20 years and added it aimed at spreading a cultural awareness among the people. In Dubai, the programme will be held at Al Nasr Leisureland Ice Rink at 8 pm on January 31and at Abu Dhabi the venue of the event is the Abu Dhabi Indian School Auditorium.
In India, Alva’s Virasat-2013, will be held at Shobhavana, Mijar near Moodbidri from January 10 to 13, Dr Alva said and added in the coming years Alva’s Virasat and Alva’s Nudisiri will be combine and celebrated as ‘Vishwa Alva’s Nudisiri Virasat.’
Earlier, a meeting was held at Abu Dhabi under the aegis of the Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha and under the presidentship of BR Shetty, entrepreneur wherein all participants agreed to support the event.
