BCF organizes annual sports meet 2012

Sharjah, Jan 17, 2012 : The Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF), based in UAE, organized its annual sports meet in Wanderers Club, Sharjah. Members of the Beary community from all over the UAE participated in the event.

 

 

 

 

 

 

A volley ball tournament and a cooking competition for ladies were held in the morning. Lunch, sponsored by M. E. Moolur, Dr. Yusuf, and Dr. Kaup, comprised delicious biryani. A musical concert by Karavali Music also formed part of the event, with M. B. Akbar presenting several popular numbers before a delighted audience.

Bearys Group Director and Bearys Association Vice President Siddique Beary was the guest of honor. Noel D’Souza, the former president of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah was also one of the guests.

Several fun games were conducted for people of all age groups.

The Best Player Awards were bagged by Naushad of Diamond Home for football, Salam of Galaxy Abu Dhabi for cricket, Abdul Rahim of New Mark Mangalore for kabbaddi, and Rafiq of Eagle Kannagar for volley ball.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B. K. Yusuf expressed his appreciation of the social welfare activities conducted by the Bearys Cultural Forum.

Dr. Kaup announced the winners’ names and M. E. Moolur expressed gratitude.

A raffle draw marked the end of the event, with a 32” LCD TV sponsored by Abdul Razak Dewa as the first prize and a dinner set sponsored by the BCF as the second prize.
