Bahrain, Dec 24, 2011 : Expatriates from the Indian state of Karnataka will be treated with a top class entertainment at the Indian Club’s auditorium on January 5.

The ’Ramee Rasa Sanje’, an initiative of the Kannada-speaking members of the Indian Club will be an evening of music, laughter and fun. The show will be a New Year treat for Kannadigas on the island, said the organizers.

Well-known singer Anuradha Bhat, versatile entertainer Mimicry Dayanad and upcomingsinger Deepak Doddera will take the audience through lilting music and rib-ticking humour.

More than 1,000 people are expected to participate in the show. The artists coming from India are versatile and sure to entertain the audience, said the conveners

Noted Indian businessman and social worker Aikala Harish Shetty, Mulki Seeme Arasaru  Dugganna Savanth, and Trustee of the New Mangalore Port B M Farook will be the chief guests at the event.

Anuradha Bhat

Bhat is a well-known singer in Karnataka with many popular numbers to her credit. She has sung for more than 180 films including Joshh, Paramesha Paanwala, Dubai Baabu, Veera Madhakari, Junglee, Savaari, Sanchaari, Krishnan Love Story, Modhala Sala, Eno Onthara, Pancharangi, Krishnan Marriage Story, Kiraathaka, Jaraasandha and so on.

She has worked with many renowned music directors such as Hamsalekha, Ilaiyaraja, MM Keeravani, Gurukiran, Manomurthy, Harikrishna, Sadhukokila, Manikanth Kadri, Arjun and many others.

She has also worked on several projects (in Kannada, Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Kodava, Tulu and Sanskrit) such as devotional, folk, bhaavageethe, pop albums, remix songs, jingles and TV serials. She has given stage shows all over India as well as abroad (Bahrain, Kuwait, Muscat, Qatar, Singapore and London).

Mimicry Dayanand

Dayanand is a multi-faceted artist who has dabbled in a range of genres, but his aim has always been to bring laughter to his audience. Apart from being a hilarious stand-up comedian, he can imitate 73 voices and knows 7 languages.

As a stage artiste he has performed in more than 2,050 plays and is a recognised comedian. He started his career in film world with “Kaadina Benki” and till date he has acted in more than 90 films.

Dayanad started his small screen performances in shows such as “Sihi Kahi” and “Mechanic Muddha”. He was associated with Udaya TV where he took different roles in Udaya Top 10, serials like Durga, Prema Pishachigalu, etc.

Deepak Doddera

Deepak Doddera is a very promising upcoming singer, who has impressed the industry as well as music lovers. Doddera, who entered the scene as a participant in the Confident Star singer, was a runner-up in Zee Kannada Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and the winner of Voice of Bangalore contest. He was a playback singer for “Krishna Love Story” and “Kote” films and has sung for many albums. He has performed with famous singer Sonu Nigam in five cities (Chandigarh, Delhi, Kolkatta, Bengaluru and Mumbai).

Vedha Mohan - Special Attraction

An added attraction will be Vedha Mohan, a senior producer at 94.3 Radio One of Bengaluru, who will anchor the event jointly with Kamalaksha Amin, a former RJ at Radio voice 104.2.  Vedha Mohan, who was born and brought up in Bahrain, is alively show host.

The show will have songs from old and new films in Kannada, Tulu, Konkani and Hindi. Bahrain’s budding artists will dance to the music.

Ramee Group of Hotels is the title sponsor for the event.
