Kuwait, Feb 9, 2014: The Exhibition was inaugurated by His Excellency Shaikh Ebraheem Duaij E Al Sabah, the Honourable Governor of Ahmadi whose entry to the exhibition hall was in a typical Indian style with decorative umbrellas on both sides and kids with flowers and waving flags of India and Kuwait.

H.E. Mr. Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, also joined the inaugural with many other dignitaries and media personalities. Prominent business men Mr. Ramesh Khanna, Mr. Sathish Chandra Shetty, SIMS Principal Dr. Prashant  Vasudev, Mr. Rajesh Shetty, Mr. Sudhakar Shetty Aikala, Mr. Umesh Shetty Adve , Mr. Amir Ali (Ameen INT’L. Co.)   Mr. Chandrahasa Shetty, Mr Sunoj Nambiar of IIK  Mr . J. K. Alva (Lawyer) were among the few who attended the exhibition.

“Art is simply an expression of creative-thinking, expressed in the form of pencil lines drawn by Mr Vivek Shetty Belman . It had no colours, religion &  language”, Vivek underlines this with his magical sketches at V’ Belman Creations Art exhibition here at Dar El-Cid, Jabriya.

The exhibition is held at Dar El Cid Art Gallery, which is located near to New English School in Jabriya next to Hadi Clinic. The Exhibition will be held till Saturday 8th of February 2014 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. There will be a Drawing Competition for Children & Adults on Friday 7th February 2014 at 5:00 pm on the same venue.

A souvenir was released to mark the event by His Excellency Shaikh Ebraheem Duaij E Al Sabah along with H.E. Mr. Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, and other dignitaries.

His Excellency Sheikh Dr Ebraheem Duaij E Al-Sabah spoke few words appreciating the work of Mr. Vivek Shetty and also mentioned the bilateral relation between India and Kuwait. He said that both India and Kuwait respect Vivek Shetty’s feelings expressed through his Pencil Art. H.E. Mr. Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India to Kuwait too spoke few words appreciating the art and he expressed that such type of gatherings would make the relationship between India and Kuwait more stronger.


Vivek Shetty spoke a few words about his entry to this profession as an Pencil Artist and announced that V’ Belman Creations is planning to support the noble cause of welfare activities for the ’Children with special needs’ especially Children who love Art would be a platform by V Belman Creations called ‘"V’Share.

Mr. Vivek, hails from Belman, Mangalore, in Karnataka has done innumerable portraits. His last exhibition in Kuwait was held in 2012 as Vshesh - 1 at Salmiya Play School - Salmiya and large number of community visitors witnessed the display who was amazed by his hidden talents.

Although he has not attended any kind of art based classes, his magical sketches, presentations or efforts were ‘born just out of hobby’, self-creativeness, dedication and interests. Working here in Kuwait for the past 20 years, he is working at the Office of the Honourable Governor of Al-Ahmadi.

The photos exhibited here are done recently at his residence by charcoal and pencil sketches. In the evenings or on holidays he just lifts his drawings materials and is busy with some or the other image in his mind sketching the portraits displayed at the exhibition.


As a momento, a piece of Vivek Shetty’s artworks were presented to Sheikh Dr Ebraheem Duaij E Al-Sabah, H.E. Mr. Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, Ramesh Khanna (MD, Rays General Trading & Contracting Co), Khalid Al Mulla and Major General (Retired) Thallab Al Hajri. 


All the guests marked their comments on guest book wishing good luck to Vivek Shetty and his artwork. Artist Vivek Shetty Belman spoke a few words about his dream and the exhibition. He also thanked all for their support. 


There were light refreshments served by Oriental Restaurant and light music playing at the background
