Doha, July15: Konkan Toastmasters, Qatar, club number 820149, held the installation ceremony of their new executive committee for 2010 - 2011 on Monday, July 12, 2010 at Ghaniem Gardens Clubhouse. The installation was conducted by MTM Anita Samantha, Area Governor, Area 68. MTM Subha Anupindi, Division Governor, Division E, Dist 79 was the guest of honor.
The new Executive Committee is led by the young and dynamic president, TM Christopher Almeida. Christopher works as Country IT Manager for DHL Express Qatar. The Theme of the year chosen is “Let’s make a difference”
The other officers are:
MTM Jovita Pereira - Vice President Education.
TM Rony Fernandes - Vice President Membership.
TM Lalith Sajan - Vice President Public Relations.
TM Sheldon Mendonsa – Secretary.
TM Thimothi Veigas – Treasurer.
TM S Muthurangan - Sergeant-at-arms.
Konkan Toastmasters was formed five years ago after the successful completion of a speech craft program which was offered by Doha Toastmasters to the members of Mangalore Cricket Club. TM Henry Dsouza, the founder president and TM Richard Dsouza and TM Rocky Fernandes, the club mentors, were instrumental in the creation of this new club here in Qatar.
