Mangalore, April 19: Spectrum Toastmasters Club was launched at RAK – Medical and Health Sciences University (RAK-MHSU), UAE in the RAK-MHSU auditorium.
Dr. Zubair Hanslot, the academic director of the University of Bolton, was the chief guest of the event. Dr. S. Gurumadhva Rao, the vice chancellor of RAK-MHSUI spoke of the importance of interpersonal communication.
Dr. Zita Lobo, the former lecturer of St. Agnes College Mangalore, who is now employed at RAK-MHSU, was elected as the president of the new Toastmasters Club.
Dr. Chaitanya, the vice president of public relations, spoke about a typical Toastmasters meeting.
Sarangi, the area 74 governor of TMI, and Shashi Kumar, the division J governor of TMI, conducted the charter ceremony and distributed charter medals and certificates to members of the new club. Dr. Beenish Zaki, the vice president of education, proposed the vote of thanks.
