Dubai, 17 Nov 2013: It was a glorious and glittering celebration for “KaDaM” (Kundapura Devadiga Mitra) members when they congregated to commemorate their third anniversary on 15th Nov at Marco Polo Hotel Deira, Dubai.  All the Devadigas came in record numbers to show their commitment and rocked the day long programme enthusiastically celebrating their 3rd anniversary in style and systematically.
 

The program kick started sharp at 11.30am with the lighting of the lamp by Dinesh Devadiga couple, Shankar Devadiga couple, Nagaraj Devadiga couple, Nithyanand Beskoor couple, Seena Devadiga, Raju Devadiga Trasi and Sarvottam Shetty followed by a prayer song devotionally recited by ’Nirel’ fame singer Shiva Kumar.

 

Nithyananda Beskoor welcomed the members, sponsors and the media to the function by promising an exciting day filled with loads of entertainment, fun and frolic.
 

Program was ably hosted by Santosh Sherigar, Shridhar Devadiga  &  Asha Sridhar Devadiga in their own imitable style which mesmerized the crowd.


KaDaM Teams self composed innovative welcome song kick started the cultural program followed simultaneously by a small video presentation of KaDaM and it succeeded in showcasing the growth and social work they had undertaken since its inception, why the group was formed and every detail of how KaDaM came into existence, the birth and its activities since 2010.  It was nice to know that in just three years how a dedicated team rose to great heights with their innovative programme.
 

As of date, “KaDaM” takes pride to announce that a whopping amount of around Rs.12 Lakhs has been collected as KaDaM Education Fund. Rs.2 Lakhs was distributed as scholarship and another Rs.2 lakhs were given as medical expenditure to the hospitalized patients. The contribution given by each member every month is being accumulated to necessitate unexpected medical expenditure and whenever there is an urgent need for money to meet any unforeseen circumstances, the members voluntarily initiate to cover up the expenses by contributing.  This shows the unity within the community for a great cause selflessly.
 
The cultural program started with a spellbound Bharatha Natyam Dance performance by Kumari Maunika. ’Nirel’ fame singers Pramod Kumar and Shivakumar along with Shahid, Vidhya Shivakumar, Yuvaraj Devadiga & Sandeep Devadiga enthralled the audience with their melodious voice singing great numbers from Kannada and Hindi films.

 The ladies duo Asha Devadiga and Kumari Maunika entertained the gathering dancing to the tunes of Barsore Megha from the Hindi film ‘Guru’

Tiny tots from Symphony Institute Ajman and Sharjah enthralled the crowd with their superb dance performances. KaDaM Choreographer and Dancer Satish Devadiga and Team, gave some class performance.

 
The Ocean Kids dance troop performed superbly well and entertained the audience with some electrifying performances.

 KaDaM Devadiga  Sadaka Prashasti - 2013 conferred  on Meghana Saligram

 
This year ’Devadiga Sadaka Prashasti’ was conferred on Meghana Saligram as a recognition to her contributions in the field of music (Saxophone). She has excelled in this field and has received state level and many local awards and accolades for her achievements.

 
Devadiga Sadaka Prashasti is bestowed to individuals as a token of appreciation to their service excelling in any field. The Prashasthi was conferred on Meghana Saligrama with shawl draped by Sarvottam Shetty, President of Karnataka Sangha and Bunts Association Dubai , Garland presented by Vishalaxi Dinesh Devadiga, Bouquet by Satish Poojary, President of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah and fruits bouquet  by Nithyanand Beskoor were presented in a traditional way.

Simultaneously a Video presentation was run to highlight the achievements and awards received by Meghana.  While Dinesh Devadiga handed over the ’Prashasti Patra’, Raju Devadiga presented the memento. After receiving the Sadaka Prasasti overwhelmed Meghana Saligrama thanked the organizers of the event and dignitaries on the dais.

 
The day witnessed the felicitation to Social Worker Santosh Kevin Nazerath  MD Doral IT system LLC,  Ex- president of Mangalore Konkans. He thanked KaDaM for honoring him and wished KaDaM all the success.
 

Balakrishna Salian Vice President of Mogaveera Sangha Dubai, Kevin Lewis from Oxford Office Equipments, Bharath Shetty MD of Bharat Celebration Pvt. Ltd, Satish Venkaramana  of Chilly Willy  Trading were some  other dignitaries on the dais.
 

Raju Devadiga spoke on this occasion and remembered KaDaM’s social work in and around Kundapura.
 
Sarvottam Shetty in his speech elucidated the importance of cultural and other programs and appreciated KaDaM for its efforts in upholding it. He said he was surprised to see the huge turnout which resembled the Karnataka Sangha Program.
 

Felicitation to ’NIREL’ International Tulu Film Team

 Producer Shodhan Prasad and his crew of ’Nirel’, the first ever International Tulu Film were felicitated during the day by KaDaM. The main stars comprising of Anoop Hemachandra, Varuna Shetty, Deepthi Salian, Co producer San Poojari, Sandhya Prasad, Ashwini Santosh, Asst. Director Sachin Padil, Comedian Deepak Paladka and others were present during the felicitation ceremony. The felicitation was brilliantly presented by Nithyanand Beskoor and his team.

  Each member were so well poetically introduced on to the dais by Nithyanand in his own innovative way.  Shodhan Prasad thanked KaDaM and all its members for the love and affection bestowed on NIREL movie and said this was one of the memorable moment for the entire team.

He also revealed that there are three members from Devadiga Community in NIREL movie which is a greater contribution on the whole including Pramod Kumar who recorded a melodious song in his golden voice.
 

Mementos were presented to all the sponsors, participants and media persons for their support and coverage. Cultural programs were arranged by Yuvaraj Devadiga, Pramod Devadiga and Satish Devadiga.
 
Some of the spot prizes were given to the winners of the games and raffle draw was also a part of the fun filled day.
 

The event was concluded by vote of thanks given by Prathima Narayan Badakere. She thanked all the Sponsors, Participants, Guest of various organizations, well-wishers and members for the wholehearted support who made  the event a grand success particularly Dinesh Devadiga Couple for the full hearted support extended to all the KaDaM members in planning and executing this event in an  organized manner.  Elegant Group of Companies were the main sponsor of the successful event.
