Dubai, April 8, 2013 : A seminar on ’Life Skills for Parents and Teenagers’ was organised by Mangalore Konkans at India Club here on April 5. Nearly 172 people took part in the seminar which inspired them with a wealth of information that would make them healthy, wealthy and wise.
A session on ‘Self-Esteem’ was participated by 70 teenagers and was conducted by psychologist Marissa. She exhorted youngsters to takepride in their abilities, skills and accomplishments.
The second session for teenagers on ’Success thro0ugh Perseverance’ was conducted by distinguished Toast Master Sujit Sukumaran.
Psychologist Dr Lavina Ahuja spoke on ‘Stress and Anger Management.’ Subramanian, Managing Director of Meccademia Educational Institute, provided career guidance to the young participants.
Maryla Johnson, lifestyle consultant, ‘Active Life’, Dubai, explained about 10 simple tips that would help individuals follow a Healthy Life Style.
James Mendonca, president of Mangalore Konkans Dubai ,Aboline D’Cunha, Vice-President of Mangalore Konkans and others were present.
There was also an interactive session which the participants immensely enjoyed.
