Dubai: Muhurat of late Girish Karnad’s social drama ‘Wedding Album’ held

Dubai, Oct 30 2019: Muhurat for Dhwani’s latest drama late Girish Karnad’s ‘Wedding Album’, which will be staged during Dhwani Cultural Fest 2020, was held in Dubai on October 25.

 

 

 

 

 

Director Prakash Rao Payyar welcomed the gathering and briefed about play’s script, cast and plot. Anand Bailor, president of Sharjah Karnataka Sangha, Mallikarjuna Gowda, president of Kannadigaru Dubai, and Sugandraj Bekal, president of Basava Samiti Sathish Hindera, gave their best wishes to the event. Dubai’s senior theatre artistes Donald Correa and Prabhakar Kamath addressed the gathering.

The muhurat was done symbolically by handing over script to the lead roles artistes of the play Asha Correa and Prabhakar Kamath. At the same time, reading of important scenes was done by the artistes.

Cultural secretary of Dhwani, Arathi Adiga rendered the vote of thanks. All members and artistes of Dhwani were present on the occasion. Dhwani Cultural Fest will be held on the evening of February 14, 2020, Emirates Theatre, Jumeirah, Dubai.
