Dubai witnessed Decennial celebration of Bellevision UAE

Dubai, 08 February 2011: The Sambram 2011, the most awaited event of year, to mark 10th Anniversary of Bellevision was celebrated with great pomp and gusto. The event was held Dubai Grand Hotel – Poolside on 4th February 2011 with more than 700 people witnessing the celebration.

The President of Bellevision UAE, Mr. Ronald D Souza welcomed the dignitaries and the guests. In his welcome address he highlighted the contribution of Bellevision UAE towards development of Belle and its people. The Sambram 2011 was inaugurated by lighting of lamps by Dignitaries.


A special felicitation programme had been arranged by Bellevision to Mr. Walter Nandalike, the Guest of Honour, along with his wife for their contribution to the Konkani society as well as the strong support rendered by them to Bellevision. "Daijiworld and Bellevision started in the same year, back in 2001, and both have completed 10 years successfully. Both have achieved success in respective fields," he observed, and assured his full support and cooperation to Bellevision in its future endeavours. He also he thanked Bellevision for honoring him.

The Chief Guest of the event Mr. William Aranha a prominent businessman ailing from Belle inaugurated the “Poor Children Education Fund” and contributed Rs One Lac towards the fund. He spoke about Bellevision and its contribution to the society especially in the field of Education.


Mrs. Smitha D Souza proposed the vote of thanks for all those who were involved in making this event a great success.
 

Mr. Rony D’Cunha and other singers like Loreen, Dony Correa, Preema Dsouza, Maria,Godwin, Wilfy and Sandra enthralled the crowds with melodious numbers. The melodious songs presented by solo, duet and group included : Dis raath moga, Gitarachi taar, Thun mujha mogacho, Anjelina, Roseline, Claudia, Maria, Ghadi udeli, Masti Masti, Bebdo, Ye moga ye thun gopanth, Ye nari ye, Ye chedwa, Dingiri Mama(Tulu), Endendu ninnanu marethu (Kannada), Piso, Oh Marie Marie and My name is Anna Maria. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the Konkani numbers. Arun Carlo and his troupe’s foot tapping music brought the crowd on the dance floor. Sizzling dance performances by Feat Beat Group dazzled the crowd. Rib tickling comedy show by Santosh D Souza and Alphose D Souza kept the audience laughing and amused.


Mr. Uttam Menezes compered the event and organized some interesting spot games which kept people guessing and participating with full enthusiasm.


Novelty sales and its auction was one of the attractions of the day which got ample response from the crowd. Unique Novelty dance added color to the vibrant programme. It was successful in pulling the majority of the audience to the dance floor, displaying dancing skills. Amit Castelino, Moodubelle was lucky winner of the 32’ LCD TV which was one ten prizes given during Novelty Draw.


There was a raffle draw for the entry coupons and lucky winners won some exclusive prizes. The event ended with a bang with audience hitting the dance floor for our very own Baila. A sumptuous buffet lunch was organized which left the audience fully satiated.


As audience acclaimed that Belleans maintained that class in their program, but for the organizing committee it was a challenge to deliver 5 hours to non-stop entertainment to a very matured audience. The program was live webcasted on Bellevision.com.


Sambaram 2011 was a memorable event to be cherished for the years to come. It brought all Belleans as well as people from in and around Mangalore and Udupi and gave them an authentic Konkani musical treat.
