GSB Sabha Kuwait honours eminent personalities

Mangalore, October 20: GSB Sabha Kuwait honoured eminent personalities such as Dr. Panemangalore Dayanand Pai, Basti Vaman Shenoy, S. Mohini D. Pai, Kumble Gopinath Bhat, and Panambur Vitobha Bhandarkar during its monthly bhajan satsang held recently.

 

 

 

Haridas Acharya, the president of GSB Sabha Kuwait, delivered the welcome address; and Prakash Pai introduced the eminent personalities to be honoured. Eknath Vernekar, Sudhir Shenoy, Purushottam Nayak, and Vishwanath Prabhu presented mementos to the guests on behalf of GSB Sabha Kuwait.

After receiving the honour, Basti Vaman Shenoy thanked GSB Samaj Kuwait and spoke on the importance of preserving and developing Konkani language, culture, and tradition for the benefit of future generations. He also spoke about the work and achievements of the Vishwa Konkani Centre, Mangalore. Dr. P. Dayanand Pai, Panambur Vitobha Bhandarkar, and Kumble Gopinath Bhat also thanked the GSB Sabha Kuwait for honouring them.

Dinesh Kamath proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Surendra Nayak was the comperer. A sumptuous dinner arranged by Srinath Bhat and Vishwanath Prabhu, who were the hosts of the bhajan satsang, marked the end of the felicitation programme.
