Doha, 28 September 2010: The much awaited Gulf Voice of Mangalore (GVOM-2) semifinals are scheduled on 01 October 2010, at 05.00 pm, in Doha Cinema. This Konkani Reality Show is organized by Mangalore Cultural Association, Doha Qatar, who has made all the arrangements at Doha Cenema to stage this show.

 

 

 

 

 

There will be 6 participants in Female category and 6 participants in Male category. The semifinals will be held in Doha to select the best two competitors, one each from the male and female, who will then be qualified to participate in the grand finals to be held on October 22, 2010 in Dubai.   The finalists will be selected by the Judges comprising of Joel Pereira, Reena D’Souza and Claud D’Souza.

Veena Rebimbus Pias is the Local coordinator of Gulf Voice of Mangalore (GVOM) programme at Doha and Arthur Pais will be the stage coordinator for the event. The show will be compeered by Leslie Rego. It is going to be a splendid event that will see the best of music and entertainment for the music lovers who are looking forward to this event.

Mangalore Cultural Association of Qatar was formed in the 2008 by Mangalorean Konkans of Qatar who came together and floated the organization with the principle objective of bringing Mangalorean Konkani speaking people together under the umbrella of Mangalore Cultural Association (MCA) to help each other. Maintain in touch with our culture by organizing cultural events such as by bringing Artists from India.

The semifinals in Doha also includes plenty of entertainment such as, Rib tickling comedy by Dolla, songs by eminent Konkani music artistes Claud D’Souza, Reena D’Souza and Norbert Pereira, a well known renowned artist from Doha. Konkani music lovers can fervently look forward to a fierce competition among participants and also the entertainment extravaganza that follows the competition.
