Karnataka NRI Forum, UAE submits memorandum to ministers Jayamala, Khader

Dubai, Nov 29, 2018  : Office bearers and members of the Karnataka NRI Forum, UAE interacted with  Karnataka Minister for Kannada and Culture Jayamala, Minister for Urban Development UT Khader and MP and former CM Veerappa Moily, on the problems faced by NRIs at an event held at  Fortune Plaza auditorium recently.

The Karnataka NRI Forum President Praveen Kumar Shetty handed over a memorandum to the ministers highlighting the problems faced by NRIs.

Speaking on the occasion, Shetty said  the NRIs were facing various issues pertaining to visa, employment,  flight charges, absence of direct flights to some places etc. Some off the demands of the NRIs include  setting up of  NRI offices in every DC office and to  provide  voting rights for NRIs.

Ministers  Jayamala, Khader who spoke on the occasion  assured that the government would try to look into the issues.

Forum Vice President Joseph Mathias,  Treasurer Daya Kirodian, Joint Secretary  M E Mulur, Dr U T Iftikar Ali,  Akhila Bharatha Tulu Okkoota President Dharmapal Devadiga and others were present.
