Dubai, Sep 5, 2012 : Karnataka Sangha Dubai will organize a dance competition on September 21, Friday. Under the leadership of its president, Girish Shetty, the organization will organize not only the mega dance competition, but also the Kannada Rajyothsava celebrations.
The dance competition will be held at Westminster School Al Quasais on September 21 for Kannada-speaking people belonging to different age groups. Professional troupes can also take part in the competition.
Vice President K. R. Tantry and General Secretary Daya Kirodian have requested all Kannada-speaking people in the UAE to take part in the competition.
The winners will receive cash prizes and trophies.
The dance competition will be held in the Below 15, Above 15, Folk Dance, and Professional Troupes categories in Kannada, Konkani, Kodava, Beary, and Tulu languages.
The association will also hold a drawing competition in the Below 5, Between 5 and 8, and 8 – 15 year categories on the topic “Tourist Spots in Karnataka.”
