Kuwait, August 30: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association has organised its bi-annual General Body Meeting on Friday, 27th August 2010 in ICSK, Salmiya. The meeting commenced at 6:45. Mrs. Lavina Furtado invoked the presence of Holy Spirit through the opening prayer. President, Mr. Rudy D’Souza welcomed the gathering and thanked all for the support and love for KCWA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In his message, Rev. Fr. John Harry D’Souza congratulated KCWA for its service to the less fortunate and encouraged all members to become the salt of the earth and a light of the world. A detailed report of the last GBM and KCWA activities from Feb-10 to Aug-10 was presented by Mr. Vijay D’souza.

Details of the upcoming programme Monthi Fest 2010, cultural activities and sports activities were presented by Dr. Manohar Prabhu, Mr. Wilfred Lobo and Mr. Alex Rego respectively. Finance, Membership and educational fund reports were presented by Mr. Anil Fernandes, Mr. Henry Castelino and Ms. Sunitha D�silva respectively.

On this occasion, Membership children with excellent academic achievements in 2010 were felicitated. Prizes were distributed to KCWA World Cup Football Quiz winner Master Dylan Keith Lobo, the lucky contestant Mr. Salvadore D�Souza and lucky member of the day Mr. Francis Almeida. Four new members were enrolled at the GBM.

Mr. Praveen Menezes proposed vote of thanks. Fr. John Harry D�Souza blessed the food (grace before meal) followed by a concluding prayer from Mr. Wilfred Lobo. Sounds and projector was provided by Mr. Lancy Rodrigues. Mr. Steevan Misquith facilitated power point presentation.

The whole programme was compered efficiently by Vice President Mr. Anil Menezes. The meeting concluded at around 9:30 pm with a fellowship dinner (from M&M). Around 100 members and their family were present. KCWA Executive & Management committee would like to thank the members who attended the meeting and also thank the management committee of Indian Community School for providing the auditorium.
