MCCP ushers in X’Mas with fun-filled Nathalanso Dabazo

Muscat, Dec 13, 2013: A fun filled event ‘Nathalanso Dabazo’ was organised by the Mangalorean Catholic Community of the Parish (MCCP) at the Al Bhaja Hall in Qurum recently to usher in the Christmas celebrations. Over 450 members of the organisation participated in the event and enjoyed a mind boggling musical  show by well known artistes Monica Valdar and Thushara Kuruvitage and also several other talents.

Lancy Lobo, President of MCCP along with other dignitaries cut the traditional Christmas Cake. There were Christmas Carols led by Melanie Crasta and group. Wilfred Castelino presented a splendid tableau depicting the birth of Jesus.

 

Santa Claus also made a grand entry much to the excitement of the kids who vied with each other to grab the sweets distributed by Santa.

Singer Monica Valder hailing from Loretto in Bantwal was felicitated on the occasion by Lancy Lobo, Ophelia Lazarus, Nancy Vaz of MCCP. Tushara another promising singer from Srilanka was also introduced to the gathering. Tushara was also felicitated with a shawl, a basket of fruits and a memento by President Lancy Lobo  and others.

The two singers mesmerized the gathering  with their performance.

The event also had a balloon dance for couples. Exciting games were also organised. There was even a Baila session. A wonderful dinner  of Mangalorean style was also relished by the participants.
