Maiden Business Meet of Canara Region conducted in Canada

Mississauga March 8: Canara Business meet held on March 7th 2010, at Monte Carlo Inn, Mississauga, Nearly 60 Mangalorean business persons took part in the function.

 

Howard Detsky - C.A. from Yale and partners organisation, delivered speech. He talk on business expenses including claiming CCA on business use property, Tax advantages of incorporation, Income splitting, Taxation of Capital Gains, Dividends & Interest Income Automobile expenses & Stand by charges, Taxation of Rental Properties including renting a portion of the home, Home office expenses, Benefits & limits of RRSP contribution, Pay down your mortgage or make an RRSP contribution. Participants were thoroughly impressed both with the knowledge and the content of the presentation.

Nilofer D’Souza, welcomed and Flavian Pinto gave the introduction to the meeting.
Paul Mathias gave the vote of thanks and gave a brief synopsis of Canara World Foundation and its activities.
