New Jersy, July 2: Mangalorean Catholic Association of the East Coast at New Jersey has conducted a family get-together function for its members recently here. A picnic was arranged on the occasion.
All the registered members of East Coast have participated in the picnic. Fun games like three-legged race and lemon and spoon were held to keep the kids happy. The main event of the picnic was tug-of-war. It was so funny for the members, when the rope broke apart and both the teams were declared winners.
The Iceberg game was truly amusing for all to see. The funny game amused the family members. It was then time for some delicious appetizers such as mixed pakodas and chicken kebabs. Hot Pakodas and Chicken Kebas were distributed in the middle of event, which helped the participants to reload their energy. DJ Vijay played some great music from Konkani Masala, on the occasion.
On the occasion, Mark Mendonca was elected as the president of the Association. Vanitha Furtado, Christopher Monis and Bernett D’Souza were elected to the posts of vice-president for programs, membership and public relations respectively. Marina Correa was elected as the secretary/treasurer. Dilip Lewis and Collins Lewis will continue as the webmasters. Joe Colaco, Vivian Kamath and Dilip Lewis were chosen as mentors to guide the executive board.
