Nottingham: MUKA Elects Stany Sequeira as New President

Nottingham (UK), 12 April 2012: Mangalorean United Konkani Association (MUKA) elected Stany Sequeira as its president for the year 2012-2013 at the general body meeting which held at Bramcote Memorial Hall, Nottingham.

 

 The annual general body meeting began with prayer followed by welcome address by the outgoing president Deepak Alvares. He expressed his joy on the completion of the successful tenure and applauded the outgoing members of the executive committee for their dedicated hard-work. After presenting the report and accounts, new committee was elected.

 The new committee, which was elected for the year 2012-2013 consists of following members.
President:  Stany Sequeira
Vice-president: Anitha Aranha
Secretary: Deepak Alvares
Treasurer: Julian Noronha
Cultural Secretary: Vincent D’Souza
Communication Coordinator: John Peter Fernandes
Liturgical Secretary: Flossy Fernandes
Additional Committee Members: Prakash Mendonca, Pius Rasquinha, Jerald Alvares and Conrad Aranha.

 John Fernandes conducted the day’s proceedings. Taking over the role as new president, Stany Sequeira thanked Deepak Alvares for leading the association successfully, and assured to do his best in his new role. He also promised them that he would strive hard to build unity and to continue the good work done by the outgoing team.
