Qatar: Mangalore Cricket Club to present 2 Konkani Comedy Plays on Apr 17

Doha/Qatar, 28 Feb 2015: Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC), Qatar in their effort to promote Konkani  language and culture will be staging 2 Konkani dramas at Al Ghazal Club as part of its mega annual cultural programme on Friday April 17 at 5.00pm.

 
The much acclaimed Konkani Comedy plays – ‘Platform No 3’ and ‘Neemane 30 Dees’ by playwright Arun Raj Rodrigues and directed by Christopher D’Souza of Neenasam will be presented on Friday April 17 at 5.00pm. The plays will be presented by Kalakul - Konkani’s lone professional repertory promoted by Maand Sobhann, Mangaluru-based organization striving to promote Konkani and its distinct culture worldwide. Talented and renowned artistes are sure to mesmerize the audience with their electrifying performances on the stage for nearly 3 hours.

As the Konkani plays are making a major comeback in modern times and sensing the pulse of people and their eagerness to watch quality Konkani plays, Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC), have taken a bold step, to entertain Konkani theater loving people of Qatar staging these twin plays.

 
‘Platform No 3,’ has been played 15 times earlier while ‘Neemane 30 Dees,’ a new play has been presented 3 times and both plays have received high acclaim from all over when they were staged.
