Saudi Arabia, Aug 25, 2021: In a relief to travellers, Saudi authorities announced that Indian nationals, who have travelled to India after receiving both doses of the vaccine in Saudi Arabia, will be able to return to the Kingdom directly without need for quarantine in a third country. In a tweet, the Indian Embassy in Riyadh said: "Embassy is pleased to inform that Saudi Authorities have announced that Indian nationals who have travelled to India after receiving both doses of the vaccine in Saudi Arabia will be able to return to the Kingdom directly without need for quarantine in a third country."
It also mentioned that more details are awaited from India’s foreign ministry.
Last month, the Saudi authorities said it will impose a three-year travel ban on citizens travelling to countries on the kingdom’s ’red list’, including India, in efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus and its new variants, state news agency SPA had reported.

It cited an unnamed interior ministry official as saying some Saudi citizens, who in May were allowed to travel abroad without prior permission from authorities for the first time since March 2020, had violated travel regulations.
"Anyone who is proven to be involved will be subject to legal accountability and heavy penalties upon their return, and will be banned from travelling for three years," the official said.
