Sharjah: Byndoor Catholic Association celebrates Monti Fest

Sharjah, September,25: Byndoor Catholic Association celebrated much awaited ‘Monti-Fest’ under the slogan of “Sakkad Sangatha Melyam” on 24th Sept 2010 at Mr. Rudolph Periera’s Residence, Sharjah.

The program commenced at 12 noon with a prayer song by Rikitha, Ruvitha & Susan. Hon. President Mr. Rudolph Pereira welcomed the gathering. Mr. Rony Byndoor conducted the prayer ceremony. Children showered flowers to Infant Mary to the tunes of traditional hymns “Sakkad Sangathaa Melyam” and “Moriyek Hogolsiyam” which made adults nostalgic of their childhood days.


The gathering was entertained by some popular songs sung by Mr. Rony Byndoor, Mr. J J Dias, Mr. Miller Rodrigues , Mr Godwin D’Souza & his team. Rib tickling skits were enacted by Mr. Ashok Dias, Mr. Dinesh Gras, Mr. John Lobo, Mr. Robert Nazareth & Mrs. Shaila Gras.

 

Delicious traditional Mangalorean “ Novem Jevan” & Sweet Vorn prepared by the members of the BCA was served to all.

Housie Housie game was conducted and prizes were distributed to the winners prior to the closing ceremony. The program concluded with the thanks giving speech by Mr. Dolphy Nazareth. Mr. John Lobo compered the program along with Mr Rony Byndoor and Mr Stephen Lobo. More than 80 people attended this event. It was a well organized program appreciated by all present there.
