Thumbay, Sep 21,2015: Thumbay (GMC) Medical & Dental Speciality Centre, Sharjah celebrated its fourth anniversary on Saturday, 19th September, 2015. A special function organized at the hospital to celebrate the anniversary was attended by Mr. ThumbayMoideen, Founder President of Thumbay Group, Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost of Gulf Medical University, Mr. Akbar MoideenThumbay, Director of the Healthcare & Retail Division of Thumbay Group, as well as other members of the administrative team of Thumbay Group.

 

 

 

 

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest Mr. ThumbayMoideen, expressed his happiness at the accomplishments of ThumbayMedical & Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah. He also emphasized the role of the hospital in disseminating affordable high-quality affordable healthcare as well as medical education to a plethora of beneficiaries from all sections of the society. Further, he revealed that Thumbay Group planned to open a new hospital in Sharjah, in the immediate future.

Dr. Mohammad Faisal Parvez, Assistant Administrative Director of ThumbayMedical & Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah in his address highlighted the achievements of the hospital over the past four years. Thanking Thumbay Group’scorporate team for their support, he said, “The Center has treated patients from 111 nationalities and has handled more than 200,000 patient visits so far.

 As part of its community service, the Center has conducted many free health camps for the benefit of school children, industrial workers, social and cultural associations etc., which is a pleasing achievement.”

Mr. ThumbayMoideen handed over certificates to Doctors and other staff members, who were recognized for their dedicated efforts and services. Mr. Akbar MoideenThumbay handed over theprizes to the patients who won the lucky draw contest held as part of the celebrations. Dr.Shaju Philip,Assistant Administrative Director ofThumbay Medical & Dental Specialty Center delivered the vote of thanks.

Thumbay (GMC) Medical & Dental Specialty Center, Sharjah is the first Dental Teaching Hospital of Thumbay Group to initiate electronic filing systems.  The Center supports the clinical teaching activities of the Dental College of Gulf Medical University, Ajman, UAE.
