Thumbay Hospital Launches ‘Donate &Change Lives’ Ramadan Initiative to Benefit Children

Dubai, June 7, 2016: Thumbay Hospital, the network of academic hospitals owned and operated by Thumbay Group has launched a unique initiative to benefit children, this Ramadan. Titled ‘Donate & Change Lives’, the program encourages people to donate toys and books during the Holy Month, and make a difference in someone else’s life.

The program is currently going on at Thumbay Hospitals in Dubai, Ajman and Fujairah. These hospitals will have a special activity area which will be open to children every evening after Iftar, where they can take part in activities which have been designed specifically for them. The program seeks to encourage donating and sharing, in line with the spirit of the Holy Month. Moreover, the hospitals will also have Majlis with Iftar facilities for visitors, throughout Ramadan.

The Thumbay network of academic hospitals is operated by the Healthcare Division of Thumbay Group, and is affiliated to GMU. This network presently includes five Thumbay Hospitals located at Ajman, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah and Hyderabad - India. Thumbay Group’s healthcare facilities also include a 25-chair dental hospital in Dubai which is the first private dental hospital in the UAE, a chain of state-of-the-art Thumbay Clinics and Thumbay Labs in Ajman, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain, in addition to outlets of Thumbay Pharmacy across the UAE and in India. The group plans to open 15 more hospitals in different parts of the world by 2020.
