Dubai, July 10: Veronica Alva of Pamboor has been elected as the president of the Pamboor Welfare Association, based in UAE during a general body meeting of the association held at Winny’s Restaurant in Karama convened to elect the new working committee for 2010 – 11.
The election was conducted after a brief review of the association’s activities by Kishore Noronha; and the new working committee was elected with Veronica Alva as the president and Lester Alva as the secretary. The other members of the working committee are Valerian Alva as the vice president, Marwin D’Souza as the joint secretary, Diany D’Souza as the treasurer, Anita D’Souza as the cultural secretary, and Santan Alva and Diany D’Souza as the finance committee members.
Daniel Saldanha, the outgoing president of the association, thanked the previous committee members for their consistent support and called upon all the members to work together to strengthen the association. Mr. Veronica Alva, the newly elected president thanked the outgoing president and committee members for successfully leading the association during their tenure.
She said that she would take up this new challenge assigned to her and would continue the good work carried out by the association in previous years. She called upon the members of the association and the committee to give their full support and promised that she would do her best to continue the good work.
