Vincent Fernandes to organize baila contest for middle-aged couples

Dubai, Aug 22, 2012 : Vincent Fernandes Cascia, founder of Mogachilahran Musical Troupe, will organize Naas Baila Naas, a baila dance competition for middle-aged couples at JSS School Auditorium on Sheikh Zayed Road on Oct 12, 2012 from 5:30 p.m.

The prelims will be held on September 30, 2012, and the participants will be informed about the venue once they submit their registration forms.

Calling it a unique, first of its kind contest, he said that it will surprise people, especially as Baila King Claud D’Souza will be the guest of honor.

Jagath Pal and Lavina will present a number of comedy skits to keep the audience happy. Highlights of the contest will include games, prizes, Mangalorean cuisine, Huli Vesha or Tiger Dance, and plenty of baila tunes, he said.
