Thumbay Hospital Fujairah Launches ‘Continuing Medical Education Seminars’

Ajman, March 28, 2016: Thumbay Hospital Fujairah, the leading academic hospital owned and run by Thumbay Group, in association with Gulf Medical University, Ajman and the Health Communications Division of Thumbay Group hosted Continuing Medical Education Seminars at the hospital premises on Monday, 21st March 2016.
The seminar had the following sessions handled by experts:

 

•Evaluation of a Limping Child - Dr. Mohammed Zakeer Ahmed (Orthopedic Specialist, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah)

• Evaluation of a Febrile Child - Dr. SherifBakir (Consultant Pediatrician, Massafi&Dibba Fujairah Hospital MOH, UAE)

•Breast Cancer Imaging – Beyond Mammography - Dr. Vilas P. Kanikdaley (Senior Specialist - Radiology, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah)

•Viral Infections in Pregnancy (Zika Virus) - Dr. RebecammaOommen (Specialist in Obstetrics &Gynaecologist, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah; Faculty of Medicine, Gulf Medical University, Ajman)

The seminar, accredited by MoH for 4 CME hours, saw the participation of healthcare professionals from across the UAE.Dr. Osama Mahmoud Rizk, Medical Director of Thumbay Hospital – Fujairah said thatthese seminars would be held every month, in the hospital. Certificates were distributed to the participants at the end of the program.
