Indian Social Forum Riyadh celebrated 70th Republic Day in Riyadh

Jan 28, 2019 - The celebration of the 70th Republic Day was held on January 26th by the Central Committee of the Indian Social Forum Riyadh at the Al Mas Restaurant Auditorium in Riyadh, People from different Indian states and religion were present during the occasion.

The program was inaugurated by playing unity song.

Mr. Vijay Kumar Singh, the second secretary (Community Welfare) of the Indian Embassy was chief guest, Speaking after inaugurating the program, He said this is an occasion to commemorate the values of our democracy and Republic, to reaffirm our commitment to liberty, fraternity and equality across our society and among all our citizens.

He also spoke about Indian relationship with KSA, he Mentioned about Indians contribution in IT sectors and other joint projects and contribution of Indians are acknowledged by Saudi officials. He urged Indian communities to volunteer themselves in welfare works and praised welfare work of Indian Social Forum.

Social Forum Central Committee Vice-president Janab Rasheed Khan chaired by the program, in his presidential speech he urged everyone to keep continuing their good work for our Nation as well as for Indian community in Saudi Arabia.

Indian Social Forum Riyadh Karnataka State Committee member Mohammed Naveed delivered the Republic day message, he said India was formed based on concept of ’unity in diversity’ and it becomes every Indians responsibility to safeguard it.

Dr. Nadeem Tareen – Chief Patron Indian Business Forum, Mr. Ilyas Tirur -President of India Fraternity Forum Regional Committee, Mr. Malik Ibrahim – President Tamil Sangam Riyadh , Mr. Sajjad Sahir – IMCC Saudi National Committee , Janab Zaigham Khan  - Alighar Alumni Amuba, Mr. Ubaid Edavanna – President Media Forum Riyadh, Janab Haneef Basroor – member of Qidma Foundation Udupi Karnaaka, Janab Akhtarul Islam – Member of Bihar Ajuman and Mr. Ibrahim Tharayil were present at the stage. All the guest delivered the message of Republic day to non-resident of India.


The program concluded by singing national anthem.

Basheer Karandur, General Secretary of Social Forum Central Committee, welcomed the gathering and Central Committee member Ahmed Javed Andra Pradesh presented the vote of thanks. Fathruddeen Tamilnadu was master of ceremony.
