Abu Dhabi, Nov 23, 2021: India Social and Cultural Centre Abu Dhabi (ISC) awardee of Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, the largest socio-cultural and sports organisation in the Middle East and APEX Trading one of the major oil Field supplies and traders in the Middle East joined hands to host the 44th ISC – APEX UAE Open Badminton Championship 2021 at the India Social and Cultural Centre. The ISC has witnessed a huge number of entries of about 395, in the categories of seniors, elite and juniors in a two weeks long tournament. The badminton courts in ISC are of international standards and proud to publicize them as one of the best of its kind in the GCC. This is the another UAE ranking championship being hosted under the aegis of UAE Table Tennis and Badminton Federation.
During the prize distribution ceremony, general secretary of ISC Jojo J Ambooken said that ISC is more privileged to have conducted such a famous tournament and appreciated the participants coming from all over UAE, GCC countries and India especially the parents, coaches, sports academies, sponsors and volunteers for encouraging the young talents. The overall participation is expected to reveal a show worthy of excellent skills combined with high endurance levels, with a goal to attain the championship under the aegis of ISC, Abu Dhabi. It has given a great opportunity for all the Badminton lovers around UAE to witness this big sporting event that started with the Seniors and Elite Series’ from January 11 to November 13, 2021 with its 16 categories and ’Junior Series’ November 17-20, 2021 with its 22 categories.
