Abu Dhabi, Jan 04, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a massive gathering of Indian community members in Abu Dhabi in the UAE on February 13.
The event, ’Ahlan Modi’, is slated to be held just a day before the Prime Minister is set to inaugurate the BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi. Over 50,000 people are expected to attend the event.
PM Modi has accepted an invitation to inaugurate the BAPS Hindu temple, the largest such temple in the UAE, according to a statement from the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
Representatives of the BAPS organisation, led by Swami Ishwarcharandas and Swami Brahmaviharidas, met the Prime Minister at his residence in Delhi and extended the invitation for the inauguration on February 14, the Swaminarayan Sanstha stated.
It added that PM Modi has "graciously accepted" the invitation to inaugurate the temple in the Arab country.
The BAPS Hindu temple has been designed to resemble a blossoming lotus flower.
Last year, PM Modi visited the UAE where he attended the COP28 climate summit in Dubai on November 30-December 1.
