Dubai: ‘Billawa Mahotsava’- 2010

Dubai, Dec 7: Billawa Balaga Dubai celebrated the success of ‘Billawa Mahotsava 2010’ recently at Winny’s Restaurant with a throbbing party called ‘Vijayotsava’ for all its committee members and participants. The evening was filled with fun, music, dance, sense of inner joy and excitement, followed by delicious dinner.

 

 

Present on this occasion were special guests from Mumbai Suresh S Poojary,  social philanthropist, donor, and chairman, Sukh Sagar Group of Restaurants and president, Billawa Jagriti Balaga, Mumbai, and his wife Santhoshi S Poojary, who is also the vice-president of Billawa Jagriti Balaga Mahila Mandal.

The chief guest of ‘Billawa Mahotsava 2010’, U Narayana, chairman, Narayana Guru Urban Development Co-op Bank and treasurer of Billawa Mahamandal Udupi, was also present alongwith his wife Usha Narayana.

The function started with a welcome address by Madhav Hejmady, general secretary of Billawa Balaga, Dubai. Suchit Kumar introduced all the guests and later Chandrashekar M, president, Billawa Balaga Dubai, in his keynote address, pointed out the importance of this party in complimenting the participants on the historical success of the Mahotsava.

 
All participants, including children and adults, were honored with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their skills and talent in dance, drama, and Yakshagana performances. The certificates were handed over to them by all the dignitaries including Suresh Poojary, U Narayana, Santhoshi Poojary, Usha Narayana, Dayanand Bangera  and Dhanraj Poojary.
 

Sudhakar Thumbay co-founder, Billawa Balaga Dubai, said that all the participants as well as classic Yakshagana performers with Seetharam Kateel and members of Billawa Balaga Dubai had done a great job full of passion, vigor, and originality and this has been by far the best seen in Dubai.

 
Suresh Poojary reiterated his continuous support to Billawa Balaga Dubai for its community development programmes. U Narayana expressed his happiness on delivering an unique unprecedented and successful programme.
 

Games at the event were¬¬¬ organized by Kruti Chandrashekar and she was the compere along with Ashwin Salian. Rajeet Suvarna was the DJ who kept the crowd on their feet with great music.
