Dubai: Akhanda Bhajan Mahotsav held

Mangalore, January 15: The members of Narayana Seva Samithi organised Akhanda Bhajan Mahotsav at Karama Centre, Dubai on Friday, January 15. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Various Bhajan Mandals and Satsang groups from all over the U.A.E. participated in this day-long event.  The Akhanda Bhajan Mahothsav was organised as part of Makara Sankramana festival.

The programme began at 6 am with the lighting of the Akhanda Jyoti which was placed in the center of a delightfully bright and colourful rangoli. The devotees, who were present at the centre, chanted Vishnu Sahasra Nama Sthothra and the huge Kalu deepa was lit after the Pooja.  Devotees then continued with the bhajans initiated by Mr. Giridhar Naik who first sung ‘Vandipe Ninage Gana nata’ offering prayers to the Vighna nivaraka Lord Ganesha.  The pooja mantra was magnificently adorned with coconuts and garlands of a huge variety of beautiful, fresh flowers.

Devotees were served with light snacks throughout the day provided by Swadisht Restaurant. The bhajans continued till late in the evening. Along with the bhajans, kolata and yakshagana artists also performed Narthana Seve. At 7 PM, the Maha Pooja was performed and the Maha Prasada was distributed at 7:30PM.
 

This auspicious and unique event was successful in lighting the lamp of wisdom and love in the heart of everyone present, and its ennobling and unifying effect was felt by one and all.
