Tulu Koota Qatar lined up with sports activities

Doha , Feb 21:  Tulu Koota Qatar, an active social organization has now lined up with sports activities after the successful cultural events recently hosted by Koota.

 

 

Kabbadi and Cricket Tournaments are now linedup by Tulu Koota Qatar which will be held on 25th Feb 2011 and cricket from 2nd March 2011 upto 18th March 2011 respectively.

The fixtures for the Kabbadi and Cricket were released today at a colorful ceremony held at Mugal Empire Restaurant located at Doha Jadeed.

The 3rd Annual Kabbadi Tournament will be played on 25th Feb 2011 at Sumayya Primary Independence School play ground, located near Mall round about which will commence from early morning from 7AM and will be ended up with finals and prize distribution. Total 10 teams have enrolled their names for the Kabbadi ,they are MCC, DEEMA, United Kabbadi, Mangalore Friends, Advanced Technical Services (ATS) host Tulu Koota Qatar, OHL, Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association (SKMWA) and Hanan . The Team Manager will be Mr. Prakash Chandra Ajila.

The 4th Annual invitational soft ball fed light Cricket Tournament will be played at Old Ideal Indian School play ground at Salwa road from 2nd March 2011 upto 18th March 2011. Daily 2 matches will be played with each side having 10 limited overs. Quarter finals and Semi Finals will be having 12 limited overs while Final match will be played with 15 limited overs each side. The matches will be played daily from 7 PM onwards. Total 16 selected teams have entered the competitions. Namely:- host Tulu Koota Qatar, Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Hanan XI, Advanced Technical Services, South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association, Qalco, Mangalore Cricket Club, Amwaj Catering, M. Pallonji Qatar, OHL, Tech Solutions (Toyota) Qatar Tec, Al Mufta, Hilti, Al Fazar and Lagaan.

Mr. Seetharam Shetty will be the Team Manager of Koota cricket team.

Earlier the stage program was conducted by the Sports Secretary Mr. Kiran who briefed the Terms and Conditions of Kabbadi and Cricket byelaws to the team leaders and players present. The Koota President welcomed the gathering and thanked all the sponsors and participants for the encouragement and support. The guest at the dais past Presidents of the Koota Mr. Prakash Chandra Ajila, Mr. Ravi Shetty, Founder Member Mr. M. Iqbal Manna, senior member Mr. Manjunath Shetty and vice President Mr. Ashmath Ali also spoke.
