Konkani Kutam conducts variety contests for children

Bahrain Jan 28, 2013 :  As many as 45 children, participated enthusiastically in the annual Konkani singing and dance competitions conducted by  Konkani Kutam, Bahrain at Karnataka Social Club premises recently. The organization conducts the contests with a view to promote Konkani language and culture.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The contests were conducted in three categories for  children in the age group of 4 and 18 years.

Apart from  prizes for winners, all the participants were awarded  consolation prizes. Raghu Ram, Priya Mascarenhas and Nishel Fernandes, Richard Pais, Swebert Mascarenhas, Sonia Prabhu were the judges. Two comedy skits were also presented.

Walter Dantis, Ronald Fernandes and others were present on the occasion.
