Dubai : Devadiga team bags Nama Tuluveru friendly cricket championship

Dubai , April 20: Devadiga team bagged the championship in the Nama Tuluveru UAE’s ’Friendly Community Cricket 2013’,  held at Al Jaber Grounds Dubai on April 19. In the finals, the Devadiga Team defeated the Nirel Team.

This  cricket tournament was organised for the very first time and 12 teams  of Mangalorean community settled in Dubai took part in the same. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Purushottam Salian and Prabhaker Suvarna were the juries while the umpires were Althaf Khalife, Sudhir  Suvarna and Toufiq. They were assisted by Sudhaker  Alva and Imran. Shodhan Prasad of Nama Tuluveru and others were present.

The final match was a tie with both teams scoring 78  runs in the stipulated eight overs.  Finally, the Devadiga team was declared the winner on the basis of the runs scored in the first two overs.
