Agnesian/Aloysian alumni in UAE contribute Rs 18.22 lakh to their alma maters

Dubai/Mangalore, Jul 15, 2013:   A sum of Rs 18,22,000 has been donated by Agnesian/Aloysian alumni based in the UAE to their respective colleges. Both the colleges will get  Rs 9,11,000. The amount is accrued from the savings  during the re-union  held earlier in February.

 

Fr Swebert D’Silva Principal of St Aloysius College  and Fr Walter received the cheque at the college office. It will be utilized towards providing scholarships to the needy students. At St Agnes College, Principal Dr. Sr. Prem D’Souza received the cheque. James Mendonca, the Aloysian Chairperson for the 2013 event, Wilson Samuel, Organising Committee Member of UAE Aloysian Alumni, Jacintha Mendonca, Chairperson of Agnesians for the 2013 event and Shobha Mendonca, Committee Member, were also present.

 The reunion of Aloysians/Agnesians is held every year jointly and the amount generated through the event is contributed to their alma mater.
