Vatican, April 28 : Pope Francis and Benedict XVI honoured John XXIII and John Paul II by declaring them as saints on April 27, 2014. It is for the first time in history that 2 popes have been made saints at the same time.

 

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Oscar Fernandes’ wife Blossom Fernandes being blessed by Pope Francis during their recent visit to Vatican.

 

His Holiness Pope Francis blessed Oscar Fernandes, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, and Labour and Employment at the Historic Canonization ceremony at St Peter’s Square, Vatican.

Oscar Fernandes led a high-level 3-member Indian delegation for this important ceremony of the century.
