Dubai, Nov 26, 2014 : His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council UAE and Ruler of Ajman conferred a special achievement award on Mr. K E Faizal, Chairman and Founder of The KEF Company Ltd in the presence of Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President Board of Governors, Gulf Medical University Ajman.
The award was presented during a grand ceremony organized by Gulf Medical University Ajman, to mark the 11th graduation ceremony, in recognition of his invaluable contributions in the fields of community services and philanthropic activities globally. The citation quoted how Mr. Faizal is influencing the lives of the people by being different and making a difference through Faizal & Shabana Foundation, a charitable organization that is established in line with their belief of investing in Human development and Social Responsibility.
The ceremony was graced by H. E. Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Culture, Youth & Community Development, UAE, H. E. Mr. T. P. Seetharam, Ambassador of India to United Arab Emirates, and H E Sheikh Dr. Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman Ruler’s Court Ajman, amongst other dignitaries from diplomatic missions and academic institutions from various countries.
His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi also honored H. E. Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Culture, Youth & Community Development, UAE, H. E. Mr. T. P. Seetharam, H.E Major Dr. Mustapha Ahmed, Acting Minster of Trade and Industry, Ghana, and directors of government departments and academic and management leaders of other partnering institutions with GMU.
Mr. KE Faizal thanked His Highness for presenting the award and expressed his happiness to Mr. Thumbay Moideen for bestowing such an honor upon him.
About Mr. Faizal Kottikollon Founder-Chairman, KEF Holdings and KEF Infra
The journey of Mr. Faizal Kottikollon, Founder-Chairman of KEF Holdings, the group company of KEF Infra, in the entrepreneurial world took off in 1995, when he established Al Ahmadi General Trading, a scrap metal trading business, in Ajman, UAE. In 1997, Mr. Faizal set up his first foundry – Emirates Techno Casting FZE (ETC) – in the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, UAE.

Mr. Faizal’s work is governed by his philanthropic vision, which is to help build a better world through making a positive difference to society, particularly in the sphere of infrastructure, healthcare and education.
Notably, Mr. Faizal has been named on the Forbes Middle East list of top 100 Indian leaders in the UAE. On the corporate level, Forbes ranked KEF Holdings among the top 100 companies that make an impact in the Arab world. Mr. Faizal has an MBA from the T. A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal, as well as a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University in the US.
