‘He’s got josh’: Priyanka Gandhi reaches out to Bhim Army chief in hospital

Delhi, Mar 13,2019 : Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday paid a visit to Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad who has been admitted to a hospital in Meerut. The Dalit outfit leader developed respiratory problems shortly after he was detained by the police on Tuesday, Hindustan Times reported.

 

Priyanka Gandhi said she admired the spirit of Chandrashekar Azad and alleged that the government wants to “crush” him as he has been raising his voice for the Dalit community. “He has josh,” said Priyanka, the Congress general secretary for eastern UP.

When asked if Chandrashekhar Azad will join the Congress, she said, “I have come here to see him because he is sick. Don’t want to do politics over this.” Congress general secretary for west UP Jyotiraditya Scindia and senior party leader Raj Babbar also accompanied her.

Priyanka Gandhi is likely to launch the Congress’s Lok Sabha campaign in Uttar Pradesh tomorrow.
