Bengaluru, March 13, 2025: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday told the Assembly amid a political banter that the Congress would return to power in 2028 too.
Flaying Congress government for paying office-bearers of guarantees implementation committee from the state exchequer, Leader of the Opposition R Ashoka said this government may “go” and another may come when this would act as a “precedent”.
Immediately, the CM hit back, saying, “We won’t go. We will certainly win again and come back. Even in the byelections we have won. What happened in Channapatna and Shiggaon?”
Ashoka said: “Previously when Siddaramaiah was the CM (2013-18), he had asked me to mark his words that he would come back in 2018. He went out of sight.”
