1 dead, 2 trapped after roof collapses in Gurugram apartment; rescue ops on

Gurugram, Feb 11, 2022: One person died while two others were trapped under debris after the roof of an apartment in Haryana’s Gurugram collapsed on Thursday evening. One of the two trapped individuals has not yet been spotted and a search is on, as per Deputy Commissioner of Police Nishant Kumar Yadav.

 

The incident took place on the 6th floor of the D Block of Chintels Paradiso housing complex at Sector 109 in Gurugram. A room on the floor was under renovation and its drawing room floor collapsed.

All roofs and floors starting from the 6th floor till the ground floor of the building collapsed at once.

As per the latest update on Friday morning, teams of the NDRF and SDRF were at the spot. The fire brigade, police and other district authorities were at the accident site carrying out rescue operations.

Society residents blamed the builder for the poor construction and said their complaints went unheeded.

No official statement has been released yet. The police have lodged an FIR in the matter.
