2 women found murdered in suspected case of human sacrifice in Kerala

Thiruvalla, Oct 11, 2022: Two women, who were reported missing a few days ago, have been found murdered in a suspected case of human sacrifice in Kerala’s Thiruvalla. According to police, the women were abducted from Ernakulam and murdered in Thiruvalla.

 

The victims, identified as Padma and Roslyn, were separately lured by an agent to be sacrificed" by a couple.

On September 26, a missing case was registered when Padma went missing from Kadavantra. During an investigation, it was revealed that Roslyn was abducted in a similar manner from Kaladi in June.

Their throats were slit and bodies were buried as part of the alleged ’human sacrifice’. The bodies were buried after being cut into pieces.The women were allegedly sacrificed to gain wealth and prosperity.

The couple identified as Bhagaval Singh and his wife Leela and the agent Shihab have been arrested.

However, the police said an investigation is underway and maintained that more details can be revealed only later.

"Two women have been killed. They were killed and were buried near their house. The murder was part of ritualistic human sacrifice. We have information that there is one more case reported. We are trying to ascertain the entire case," Kochi City Police Commissioner Nagaraju Chakilam said.

"There are many layers to this case. We are now collecting the confession statements from the accused. The exhumation [of bodies] has to be done and a team has reached the spot to recover the bodies. We have now understood that the human sacrifice was made for the financial benefit of the couple. Also, we came to know the middleman had been paid. One thing is very clear, that the missing lady from Ernakulam is the one who was buried. We need more time to unearth the entire case and we are also probing into the involvement of more people in the murder," he added.
