20-year-old says she was raped by four men in moving car

Amritsar, March 26: A 20-year-old woman in Amritsar has alleged that she was raped by four men in a moving car last night. The alleged attackers played loud music on the car stereo as they drove around the city for four hours, allegedly taking turns to rape the young woman, the police said.

 

The woman was returning home from work last night when two men forced her into the car near a bus stop, she said in her complaint to the police. Two other men got into the car a little later.

After raping her, the men threw her out of the car near the city’s Cantonment area, she said. She was taken to hospital, where she is said to be in stable condition.

ADCP Crime Harjit Singh Brar said call details of the girl’s phone showed that she received a lot of calls from some particular numbers before and after the incident. Police suspect that the kidnappers were already known to the victim.

The police have registered a case of rape and say two of her alleged attackers have been identified and expect to make arrests soon.
